Under Construction
Absolutely none of these links work yet, sorry. Only the Resources link works at this point, sorry!

Welcome to Castle Maquette's Info page! This particular page is just a load of links to direct you to more interesting parts of the site; you can find them on the sidebar at left, or buried in this paragraph as I go along.

Naturally at the top of the list is the Policies page; I've learned, the hard way, over and over again, to be very clear right up front about what I can, can't, will, and won't do, what my time is worth, and what a client's money is worth. Since Castle Maquette exclusively sells commissions, the Policies page will help you figure out if you can work with me.

I won't lie, the Frequently Asked Questions page is at least partially an excuse for me to ramble on about what I do, why I do, what I don't, and ooooh history in a more or less contained area. It's framed like a dialogue. Maybe someday someone who isn't me will ask a question that belongs on the FAQ!

The Illustrated Glossary exists because while I will make whatever I'm paid to make, the Medieval side of Medieval Fantasy comes with a certain amount of vocabulary. If you need to know the difference between a houppelande and a cotehardie, the Illustrated Glossary won't just tell you, it will show you! (Please note, my sketchy "Learn To Draw Disney Characters!" artwork will be replaced with photographic examples as I make said examples.)

As for the Resources page, well. It's half credit to folks who've inspired me to do this sort of thing, and half... resources. Yes I want to make things and sell them to you, but also yes I want you to learn to make things if you want to! It's good for you! And honestly even if you don't have the time, money, physical ability, or inclination to start sewing, there are some genuinely entertaining CosTubers on my Resources page who might be worth stumbling across for sheer entertainment value.

How I Does It is just... the story-- with selected pics-- of my Doll Initialization Process, the thing that happens every time a new doll comes home. Do I do everything the right way? I do not. But I have a lot of fun, and there are some 'before they were stars' style photos of the Maquette cast there. Maybe you'll learn something, maybe you'll laugh at my kludged-together methods!

The Trade Wishlist is exactly what it says on the tin: as I am currently willing to accept no more than 50% of a commission's total quoted price in trade, it practically behooves me to make a list of things I'm willing to accept in trade. And there's a lot on that list, there's expensive resin BJDs on that list, and small appliances like a danged bridal registry, and 'old craft supplies for that hobby you thought you were going to get into and didn't,' and conceptual stuff. If you're browsing my galleries and portfolios and story posts and going "I'd love to have [thing] but I cannot afford [thing] and whatever could I hope to offer in trade?" have a snoop and get some ideas! (Or just go "Oh good grief she literally has a toaster oven on there, what even!")

And last, for now anyway, is the Casting Call! Part of the Trade Wishlist is about me going "I could make good use of a doll on this specific body for a model; these are the head options that speak to me." The Casting Call is the other way around-- I have some character concepts I'd like to play with, whether in terms of Fun Clothing Design, Juicy Story Idea, or I Just Think They're Neat, but what I don't (necessarily) have is any idea what doll could play that role. (The Casting Call is not a subset of the Trade Wishlist because although I might just be open for trading for a doll-- or head-- who suits a role, I'm also willing to hear reader recommendations for dolls who might suit even if you're not looking to make a trade.)
